Fear and Trust

I sit at my desk, heart pounding, my fear is almost palpable. There is only thing I have known to cure fear, and that is trust, trust in the Universe, that we all flow according to the winds of the great magnet. Sometimes it is hard to tell where this metaphorical magnet is pulling me. I’ll see where the wind blows me, where the earth throws me, where the fire draws me, where the water calls me, is something I used to tell myself. I think its our convictions that drive us, and my urge to go Kerouac on everyone’s ass has once again surfaced with a vengeance. Time to get the hell out of dodge as they say. But I can’t, is the lie I tell myself, its the greatest lie we all tell ourselves. Mainly its money, that I need this job in order to go, or I am in school or whatever the fuck it is. Yet I know of people who have just up and left, with almost nothing. So I replace this Fear, this soul consuming fear, with trust, that the Universe will pull me through like it has time and time again, as long as I trust. For this strength I have is not my own. By the old gods and the new.
